Remira Support
We read every message. Most get a reply within one business day, and we aim to answer everything within five.
When you write in, it helps to include the email on your account, your iPhone model and iOS version, and roughly when the problem happened.
Common questions
Getting started
- How do I sign in?
- Tap Sign in with Apple, or enter your email and we will send you a six-digit code. Remira does not use passwords.
- I didn’t get my code.
-
Check spam. Codes come from
noreply@mail.remira-ai.comand expire after an hour. You can request another after a minute. Still nothing, email us. - What do I need to use Remira?
- An iPhone and a CGM. Remira reads from Apple Health, and you can also connect Dexcom Share or FreeStyle LibreLinkUp for near-real-time readings, live alerts, and the lock screen display.
- Which CGMs work?
- Dexcom and FreeStyle Libre. Dexcom G6 and G7 write to Apple Health directly, and Dexcom Share adds the live layer. FreeStyle Libre connects through LibreLinkUp.
- How do I connect LibreLinkUp?
- Settings → CGM → FreeStyle Libre, then sign in with your LibreLinkUp email and password and pick the sensor connection you want to follow. If you are following someone else’s sensor, make sure they know you are connecting it to Remira.
- Why does Remira need history?
- Patterns need data. Expect about two weeks before forecasts become reliable, and longer for the more specific patterns.
Family and caregivers
- How do I add a family member?
- Settings → Family → Create Invite. Send them the code. Codes work once and expire after 72 hours.
- How do I set up my child’s phone?
- Create the account on your own device first, then generate an invite for their phone and enter the code there. Young people under 16 do not create their own accounts.
- What can a caregiver see?
- Glucose readings, forecasts, patterns, time in range, alerts, and check-ins. Not journal entries, notes, or labels — anything the person with diabetes writes stays with them.
- How do I remove someone?
- Settings → Family → tap the member → Remove. It takes effect immediately.
- Can two people with diabetes share one account?
- Not yet. Each person needs their own account.
Alerts
- I’m not getting notifications.
- Check Settings → Notifications → Remira is allowed. Check that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t blocking them. Check Low Power Mode. Then open Remira once — that refreshes the connection.
- Alerts are late.
- Remira depends on your CGM, your network, and Apple’s push service. Delays happen.
Important: Remira’s alerts are supplementary and can fail. Keep your CGM’s own alarms turned on. Never rely on Remira as your safety net, and never take silence as a sign everything is fine.
Data
- Where is my glucose data stored?
- On our servers, so we can generate forecasts and send alerts. Your journal, notes, and labels stay on your phone and never reach us.
- How do I export my data?
- Email us and we will send it to you.
- How do I delete my account?
- Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email us. We remove your account, email, CGM credentials, and devices within 30 days. Glucose readings are kept with identifying information stripped out — if you want those erased too, just ask.
- How do I disconnect my CGM service?
- Settings → CGM → Disconnect. Your stored password and tokens are deleted. Apple Health data is unaffected.
- Do you store my Dexcom or LibreLinkUp password?
- Yes, encrypted. Both services expire their sessions, so we need to sign in again periodically to keep your readings flowing. We never display it or share it, and it is deleted the moment you disconnect. Where the service allows it, use a dedicated follower account rather than your main login.
Billing
- What does it cost?
- 21 days free with no card needed, then $8.99 per month or $59.99 per year. One subscription covers the person with T1D and every caregiver. There is no separate family plan. See pricing.
- When does the free trial start and end?
- It starts when your CGM first syncs with Remira and lasts 21 days. On day 21, access ends unless you subscribe in the app. You are never charged automatically at the end of the trial. There is one free trial per person and per device.
- Where do I subscribe and manage it?
- In the Remira iPhone app. Subscriptions are Apple In-App Purchases, billed to your Apple Account. To see or change yours, go to iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
- How do I cancel?
- iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Remira → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Access continues to the end of the billing period. Deleting your Remira account or the app does not cancel the subscription. No phone call, no chat, no retention gauntlet.
- Can I get a refund?
- Apple handles all payments, so refunds come from Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong, tell us too. Full details are on our refund policy page.
- What happens if my subscription ends?
- The app and all Remira alerts stop, for you and your caregivers, including urgent-low alerts. Your Dexcom app’s own alerts keep working. Remira is not a replacement for your CGM’s alerts, so always keep them on. Your data is kept, and access returns when you subscribe.
Something’s broken
If Remira is not showing data, try in this order:
- Open the app and wait a moment
- Check that your CGM app is receiving readings
- Check Apple Health has recent glucose data (Health → Browse → Blood Glucose)
- If you use Dexcom Share, check that connection in settings
Still stuck, email us with what you tried.
Privacy and safety
Something urgent about your account or data security — put URGENT in the subject line.
To report a vulnerability, email us with details and give us a reasonable window to fix it before disclosing publicly. We will credit you if you want.
Parents and guardians can review or delete a child’s data at any time by writing in. We will verify identity first.
Feedback
Remira is built by two people and shaped mostly by what users tell us. If something is confusing, broken, or missing, we want to hear it.
