Remira Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 2, 2026 · Effective: On the Remira subscription launch date
1. Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using Remira, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Remira is operated by Remira LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
These Terms are a legally binding agreement. Section 15 contains an arbitration clause and class action waiver that affects how disputes between us are resolved. Please read it.
2. Who can use Remira
You must be 16 or older to agree to these Terms and hold a Remira account.
A person under 16 who has diabetes may use Remira, but a parent or legal guardian must set the account up and agree to these Terms on their behalf.
How that works. Remira is installed on the young person’s phone, because that is where the CGM data arrives and where the alerts have to land. Setup begins there — a name, then a date of birth. When the date of birth shows the person is under 16, setup stops and asks for a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian takes over on that same phone, agrees to these Terms, and creates the account with their own email address. They hold the account and remain responsible for its use.
There is no pairing code. A parent does not create an account elsewhere and link the child’s phone to it. Every account originates on the phone of the person with diabetes.
Children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 except through a parent or guardian who has completed setup on the child’s device, agreed to these Terms, and consented to the collection described in our Privacy Policy. Parents may review or delete their child’s information, or stop further collection, at any time by contacting support@remira-ai.com.
Outside the United States. If your country sets a higher minimum age for consenting to data processing, that age applies.
By using Remira you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. What Remira is, and what it is not
What it is
Remira is a personal wellness and information tool. It:
- Reads glucose data from Apple Health and, optionally, from Dexcom Share or FreeStyle LibreLinkUp
- Records the insulin, carbohydrates, and exercise you choose to log, and uses them to sharpen its forecasts
- Identifies patterns in that data
- Produces forecasts of likely near-term glucose movement
- Calculates statistics from your data, including time in range, average glucose, and an estimated A1C
- Sends notifications about current and predicted readings
- Lets you share this information with family members and caregivers you choose
What it is not
Remira is not a medical device. It is not FDA-cleared or FDA-approved.
- Remira does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease
- Remira does not provide medical advice, clinical assessment, or treatment recommendations
- Remira does not tell you how much insulin to take, what to eat, or how to change your management
- Remira does not replace your endocrinologist, physician, diabetes educator, or any member of your care team
Remira describes what your data shows. It does not tell you what to do about it.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your insulin dosing, diet, medication, or diabetes management. Never make a treatment decision based only on Remira.
Estimated A1C is an estimate
Where Remira shows an A1C figure, it is an estimated A1C, calculated from the glucose data available to the app. It is not a laboratory HbA1c test and it is not a substitute for one. The two will differ, sometimes by a meaningful margin, and the estimate is only as good as the data behind it. Use the number your care team measures.
Alerts are not an alarm system
This is important.
Remira’s notifications are supplementary. They are not a substitute for the alarms built into your CGM, and you must not rely on them for safety.
Remira alerts can be delayed, degraded, or fail entirely — because of phone settings, Do Not Disturb, network problems, an expired or interrupted Dexcom connection, notification permissions, battery optimization, a service outage on our side or a third party’s, or a bug.
Keep your CGM’s own alarms enabled and configured with your care team. Treat anything Remira sends as an extra prompt, never as the thing standing between you and a dangerous low.
The same applies to caregivers. A caregiver must never assume that no alert means everything is fine. Absence of a notification is not evidence of safety.
Forecasts are estimates
Forecasts are statistical estimates from past data. Glucose is affected by many things Remira cannot see, including anything you do not log. Forecasts will sometimes be wrong, sometimes substantially. They are context, not instruction.
You accept these risks
By using Remira you acknowledge that diabetes management carries serious risks including severe hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia; that data may be inaccurate, delayed, incomplete, or unavailable; that acting on Remira’s output without professional guidance could cause harm; and that you remain responsible for your own care decisions.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure, for activity under your account, and for telling us promptly at support@remira-ai.com if you believe someone else has gained access.
Provide accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Family accounts and caregiver access
One family account contains one person with diabetes and any number of caregivers.
The account owner controls who has access. Only the owner can invite or remove members. Invite codes are single-use and expire.
Invites travel one direction. The account of the person with diabetes issues them; caregivers redeem them. A caregiver cannot create a family or issue a code to anyone.
Every member can see who else is in the family. We do this deliberately, so nobody is watched without knowing it.
Caregivers see glucose information only. Readings, forecasts, patterns, statistics, alerts, and check-ins. They do not see journal entries, notes, labels, the insulin, carbohydrate, or exercise entries the patient logs, or anything else the patient writes. This is enforced by our servers.
If you invite someone, you are choosing to share your health information with them. We cannot control what they do with it. Remove access at any time; removal is immediate.
If you are a parent who has set up an account for a young person, you are responsible for that account and for the appropriateness of the access you grant.
6. Connecting your CGM
Apple Health. You may grant Remira permission to read glucose and related data. Revoke it at any time in iOS Settings. Our use of Apple Health data follows Apple’s HealthKit requirements in addition to these Terms.
Dexcom Share. Optional. If you connect it, you authorize Remira to sign in to Dexcom Share using the credentials you provide and to retrieve your readings on your behalf. We store those credentials encrypted.
FreeStyle LibreLinkUp. Optional. If you connect it, you authorize Remira to sign in to LibreLinkUp using the credentials you provide, to obtain an access token, and to retrieve readings from the sensor connection you select. We store your password, the token, and the connection details encrypted, and re-authenticate on your behalf when the token expires.
We can decrypt the password you give us. Signing in on your behalf requires it in the clear at the moment of the request, and our servers do that on a schedule to keep your readings flowing. Encryption at rest protects the credential from anyone who obtains our stored data. It does not put it beyond our reach. Understand that before you hand over a CGM-portal login.
You must be entitled to the data you connect. LibreLinkUp works on a follower model. If you connect as a follower rather than as the person wearing the sensor, you confirm that the person wearing it knows and agrees that their readings will be shared with Remira. Do not connect an account or a sensor connection you are not authorized to access.
Remira is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Dexcom, Abbott, or any CGM manufacturer. We use the sharing services those companies make available to followers. Either company may change, restrict, or discontinue those services at any time, and if that happens the feature will stop working — through no fault of ours and with no entitlement to a refund beyond what these Terms otherwise provide. Your use of Dexcom or FreeStyle Libre is governed by that company’s own terms.
Where the service supports it, use a dedicated follower account rather than your primary login. Given that we can decrypt what you give us, this is the safer choice. Disconnect at any time in settings, which deletes the stored credentials.
7. Subscriptions, trial, and payment
Free trial
Every new person with diabetes receives a 21-day free trial with full access. No card or payment details are needed to start. The trial begins when that person’s CGM data first syncs with Remira. On day 21, access ends unless a subscription has been purchased in the app. Nothing is charged when the trial ends.
One free trial per person and per device. To prevent repeat trials we keep a limited, one-way record described in our Privacy Policy. We may modify or discontinue trials for new users at any time.
Subscription and price
After the trial, continued access requires a subscription, bought in the Remira iPhone app through Apple’s App Store. Current pricing is $8.99 per month or $59.99 per year in the United States, or the price the App Store shows you at the time you subscribe. Prices in other countries are set in local currency and may include tax. Prices may change; existing subscribers receive at least 30 days’ notice before a change affects them, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Caregivers are covered
One subscription covers the person with diabetes and every caregiver on their family account, at no additional cost. There is no separate family plan, and caregivers do not need a subscription of their own.
How billing works
Subscriptions are sold as Apple In-App Purchases and billed to the Apple Account used to buy them. Apple processes every payment. Remira LLC never sees or stores your card or other payment details. Your purchase is also subject to Apple’s terms for App Store purchases.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Each renewal is charged at the then-current price within the 24 hours before the current period ends. Auto-renewal stays on unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancelling
Cancel any time on your iPhone in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, then choose Remira. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
Deleting your Remira account, or deleting the app, does not cancel your subscription. Apple bills it, so it must be cancelled through Apple as described above.
We will not make you call, email, or chat with anyone to cancel.
Refunds
Because Apple processes all payments, refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Remira LLC cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights you have under applicable law. If something has gone wrong, email support@remira-ai.com — we will help however we can.
A plain-language summary of this section is at remira-ai.com/refunds. This Section 7 governs if the two differ.
When access ends
If the trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription is cancelled or lapses, access ends for the person with diabetes and for every caregiver on the account. The app’s features stop, and all Remira alerts stop, including urgent-low alerts. Your CGM’s own alerts, such as those in the Dexcom app, are not affected and keep working. As Section 3 explains, Remira is not a replacement for your CGM’s alerts.
Your data is not deleted when access ends. Access returns when you subscribe.
Apple’s End User License Agreement
Remira is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app, alongside these Terms.
8. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Use Remira unlawfully, or to harm, harass, stalk, or monitor someone without their knowledge and permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
- Attempt to access another person’s account or data
- Interfere with or disrupt our infrastructure, or attempt to circumvent authentication or rate limits
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers
- Create accounts to evade a suspension or obtain additional free trials
- Resell or commercially redistribute Remira
On monitoring specifically: Remira is built for consensual care within a family. Using it to track an adult without their knowledge violates these Terms and may violate the law.
9. Intellectual property
Remira — the name, logo, interface, design, algorithms, models, and content — is owned by Remira LLC and protected by intellectual property law.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Remira for personal, non-commercial purposes under these Terms.
Your data is yours. You grant us the license we need to operate and improve Remira as described in our Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership of your health data.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without obligation to you.
10. Availability
We do not guarantee Remira will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. If we discontinue Remira entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Remira depends on services we do not control — Apple, Dexcom, Abbott, cellular and internet providers. Their failures, changes, or restrictions may interrupt Remira, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
REMIRA IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REMIRA LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT; ANY WARRANTY THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; AND ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY DATA, READING, FORECAST, PATTERN, STATISTIC, ESTIMATED A1C, ALERT, OR NOTIFICATION.
GLUCOSE DATA ORIGINATES FROM YOUR CGM AND REACHES US THROUGH APPLE HEALTH, DEXCOM SHARE, OR FREESTYLE LIBRELINKUP. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR CONTINUED AVAILABILITY OF ANY OF THOSE SOURCES.
ANY A1C FIGURE SHOWN BY REMIRA IS AN ESTIMATE DERIVED FROM GLUCOSE DATA. IT IS NOT A LABORATORY MEASUREMENT AND WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT IT CORRESPONDS TO ONE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT NOTIFICATIONS WILL BE DELIVERED, DELIVERED ON TIME, OR DELIVERED AT ALL.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions. Where that is so, they apply to the maximum extent permitted.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REMIRA LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL; ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR HEALTH OUTCOME ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON REMIRA; OR ANY FAILURE, DELAY, OR NON-DELIVERY OF A NOTIFICATION OR ALERT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow limiting liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be limited by law. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer in such a jurisdiction, these limits apply only to the extent permitted.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Remira LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Remira, your violation of these Terms or of any law, your violation of anyone’s rights, or any decision you or someone in your family account makes based on Remira.
14. Termination
By you. Delete your account in the app or email support@remira-ai.com. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it with Apple in iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, as described in Section 7.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continued access creates a legal, safety, or operational risk. Where practical we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem.
Sections 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 survive termination.
15. Disputes
Informal resolution first
Before starting a formal proceeding, contact us at support@remira-ai.com and give us 30 days to resolve it. Most problems are solvable this way.
Binding arbitration
If we cannot resolve it, you and Remira agree that any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in English, in Delaware or by video at your election.
You and Remira waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. Disputes are resolved individually.
Exceptions
Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access to systems or data.
Opting out of arbitration
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@remira-ai.com with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your account email. Opting out does not affect anything else in these Terms.
If you are outside the US
Mandatory consumer protection law in your country may give you rights that cannot be waived, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing here limits those rights, and where local law conflicts with this section, local law prevails.
16. General
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory local consumer law applies.
Changes. We may update these Terms. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use afterwards means you accept them. If you do not, stop using Remira and cancel.
Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver. Failing to enforce a provision does not waive it.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Remira LLC about the app.
